The EU and Vietnam signed a comprehensive free trade agreement

The EU and Vietnam signed a comprehensive free trade agreement on February 11, 2020, eliminating tariffs. Effective July 2020, it will go into effect in stages and reduce tariffs all around to low single digits within a few years, greatly increasing market access to each others products and services. Conversely, the EU punished Cambodia with increased barriers due to its poor human rights and labour record.
